Annie, Thanks for the kind words on my site and my photography.
As a kid growing up in sunny California, I too had held a lifetime dream of living in NYC (I never wanted to stay in CA). I lived in Seattle for 13 years, then spent eight years in Chicago, till finally last year, through an unexpected turn of events, I found that the right time had finally come for me to make my move. I have no regrets.
New York is for me, simply paradise, albeit an imperfect, crowded, hot, cold, and at times smelly paradise, but paradise none the less. It is not easy, I had the luxury of coming into a bit of money which I hadn’t expected to have (and very much needed), but there is no place like it, no place at all… Best of luck, you won’t regret it.
